So this week was basicly BOMB! it was a super super hard week but all in the end (sunday) everything payed off. This week i went on divisions with fabian, and we were able to share some super cool/spiritual experiences together and work to help some less actives out. On sunday it was amazing because during the week we had invited an hermano that hasnt been to church in years to come to church. Hmno Gallardo. His family goes but he doesnt. He had some problems in the church that were the result of his inactivity. BUT, i love that guy so much and their family so when we went over to the house for the hermanas birthday, i invited the hermano to church this sunday and the next sunday. They even told me that he was participating in FHE and reading and praying alone, which is something he didnt do before. I remember when i first went to the house with elder escobar, i promised the mom and her daughters that if they read the scriptures and prayed together EVERY DAY, their dad would come back to church. They started and were super strong and their dad is now coming back to church!!!!!!!!!! :)
Then the other miracles were that an hermana came to church that we were visiting this week AND a family that we found that are inactive as of 2 years ago or so, came to church this week. IT was just a sunday FULL of blessings and miracles. We have come super close to alot of these people. THEN......the blessing of all blessings.......WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BAPTISM MY LAST SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But.....its a baptism of the ward. BUT......we did all the work to get the kid there. Fernando Martinez is going to get baptized this week. ;);));););););););)
We met with the family later in the day on sunday and had a super bomb lesson with them and put the goal as a family to make it to the temple when the ward goes in January. and they all accepted :)
the lord is just putting amazing things in my way. My last 3 weeks have been super hard BUT....on sunday it always makes up for what we did during the week and the time we spent in the street. :)
LOVE YOU ALL, SEE YA NEXT WEEK !!!!!!!!!! :)
ELDER ROSS
Elder Ross,
ReplyDeleteI started looking for blogs from the Neuquén Mission since my own son was called to that mission. I soon found yours just as you started it just as you started it. It has been a pleasure to read of your experiences as a missionary. I am sure many others have gained an appreciation for the work from your posts. I am sure your family will disagree with this but it is sad to see you back home and on to other parts of life. May the Lord bless you for all you have done. I am sure your blog has blessed many others.
